An annual event presenting the best in transformational film and media at a festival in Los Angeles. All forms are eligible for submission, including narrative drama, animation, documentary, short films, musical films, etc. After Los Angeles, the festival may travel to other major markets.

Transformational Media Network
Consider this: for decades, people have been talking about creating either discrete program content, or an entire channel, dedicated to transformational programming – spiritual, positive, uplifting, inspiring, informative, enlightening entertainment. Members of our community have been talking about it for years.
Planned for Fall, 2013, this six-hour presentation will simulate 24 hours of programming of the fictional Transformational Media Network. It will offer a taste of the type of programming that a channel dedicated to transformational programming might deliver. Program formats sampled would include talk shows, music, game shows, news, weather, finance, health, cooking, entertainment, etc.

“A Day in the Life of of Transformational Media Network”
Dear Content Creator –
Consider this: for decades, people have been talking about creating either discrete program content, or an entire channel, dedicated to transformational programming – spiritual, positive, uplifting, inspiring, informative, enlightening entertainment. Members of our community have been talking about it for years.
Planned for Fall, 2013, this six-hour presentation will simulate 24 hours of programming of the fictional Transformational Media Network. It will offer a taste of the type of programming that a channel dedicated to transformational programming might deliver. Program formats sampled would include talk shows, music, game shows, news, weather, finance, health, cooking, entertainment, etc.
Many have gone beyond talk and actually written business plans, founded companies, sought seed capital … and, over the last couple decades one, or two, or three of these ventures have even launched in modest ways.
One could even argue that such a network may have been Oprah’s original vision for OWN which, so far, hasn’t been fully articulated and demonstrated its potential.
Most of us in this field have a visceral understanding, and possibly even experience of what such a network could look like. But no one -- at least in recent years -- has demonstrated such a programming palette. We think the time has come. There’s nothing like seeing it to stimulate creativity, imagination and desire -- even if it’s not in its fully finished form.
So, we are going to undertake this grand experiment.
For GATE 3, in February, 2013, we’re planning to create sample content for the 24-hour broadcast schedule of … the Transformational Media Network! … And we’d like you to help!
You’re probably aware of us – the Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment (GATE). We’re the premiere organization promoting the expanded awareness and dissemination of transformational entertainment and media. Our nonprofit was founded in 2009 by myself – I’m a transformational marketing executive – along with international bestselling author and teacher Eckhart Tolle, and actor/activist/artist Jim Carrey.
We were launched at GATE 1, in June, 2009, where a theater on the Fox lot in Los Angeles was filled with five hundred Hollywood industry professionals, and 1500 people were turned away (URL). Recently, GATE 2 and the 1st Annual GATE Transformational Story Conference, just this past February at the Saban Center in Beverly Hills, treated over two thousand attendees to a 17-hour day and evening of extraordinary transformational speakers and entertainers (URL).
GATE 3 is planned for February 2, 2013. “A Day in the Life of … Transformational Media Network (TMN) – a fictional cable network dedicated to transformational program content.
“A Day in the Life of … Transformational Media Network will be a six-hour presentation, a condensed simulation of a 24-hour transformational broadcast day, featuring samples of all the types of programming you might imagine. This is an opportunity to expand and translate what is currently being offered on TV and cable into the transformational domain. From news and weather, to dramas, mysteries, game shows, competitions, musical entertainment – you name it
In fact, that’s exactly what we’d like you to do! Help us envision and create what this content might look like!
“A Day in the Life of … Transformational Media Network”will be an evening-long, live event in Los Angeles. The audience at GATE 3 will be treated to this visionary production expressing the evoluton of media programming, from ordinary to extraordinary. It will likely be webcast live around the world; it will certainly be videoed, resulting in a presentation that will be a model for ourselves and the world for just such a network. Through it, we can all plant the seeds of expectation and intention for a global media network that demonstrates transformation at individual, community-wide, national and worldwide levels.
This is a monumental collaboration!
We’re inviting you – and other individuals, companies, groups and organizations – to collaborate with us and create GATE 3. What would 24 hours of programming look like on a transformational media network? We’d like to hear your ideas. We’ll consider every idea that’s submitted and notify everyone whose idea is accepted by _____________, 2012, as pre-production will begin shortly thereafter. Everyone whose idea is used will be acknowledged in the program. This GATE 3 production will be seen by broadcast and cable professionals around the world, so the leverage of this event could also be monumental.
NOTE: If any of your ideas is selected, and you have professional production capabilities, we may ask you to produce your segment for inclusion in the live program.
We intend for GATE 3 to be a head-turning, seminal event in the evolution of television, cable, and mobile content. We hope you’re as excited and inspired by the possibilities as we are and choose to participate.
